Event: Walk Into the Light

10.10.10

Although today’s posting has got nothing much to do with iPhone…..It is a very meaningful event that iPhoneMalaysiaBloggers would like to strongly support.

Walk into the Light was inspired by the walk held in US to prevent suicides called “Out of the Darkness”. D’Home and Penang Care are bringing this meaningful event to Penang, giving it a new face as well as giving it a whole new meaning.
Walk into the Light aims to raise fund for D’Home and Penang Care. More importantly, this walk is to increase public awareness towards the importance of maintaining mental health, and early detection and treatment of mental disorders so as to prevent future suicides. The walk serves as a wakeup call to educate the public about the importance of prevention than cure, and how the participating NGOs can serve as point of reference, a sounding board for advice and support. Walk into the Light aims to attract 1,5000 participants in its inauguration and set to raise RM200,000 for the NGOs.

KT has finally launched the iPhone 4 in South Korea on 10th September, 2010(Friday) after regulatory approval had prevented the iPhone 4 to hit the stores earlier this year. Customers have patiently braved the rain and waited in long lines to be among the first in the country to get their hands on the Apple iPhone 4 device.

KT has received over 300,000 pre-orders, but only 10,000 units available for sale during the launch according to Korean Times.

Apple launched the iPhone 4 on June 24 in the United States and several other countries. Since then, the company has been expanding into additional markets around the world. News from some insiders indicate that the iPhone 4 will be hitting the Malaysian shores sometime end September. We shall see if this will generate as much an interest in Malaysia as compared to Korea. i am sure many people are just as eager to get the iPhone 4 in Malaysia as compared to Korea……   :-)
